Business XML Web Page ebXML Mission: To provide an open XML-based infrastructure enabling the global use of electronic business information in an interoperable, secure and consistent manner by all parties. About ebXML: The United Nations body for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT) and the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS) have joined forces to initiate a worldwide project to standardize XML business specifications. UN/CEFACT and OASIS have established the Electronic Business XML initiative to develop a technical framework that will enable XML to be utilized in a consistent manner for the exchange of all electronic business data. Industry groups currently working on XML specifications have been invited to participate in the 18-month project. A primary objective of ebXML is to lower the barrier of entry to electronic business in order to facilitate trade, particularly with respect to small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and developing nations. Page Go To eBIS-XML.Com Web Page Following the successful launch of its eBIS-XML initiative earlier this year, BASDA (the Business & Accounting Software Developers Association) has now introduced its latest eBIS-XML Web Shopping Cart schema which enables companies to transmit orders generated on their websites, directly into their back office, order entry and financial systems. The BASDA eBIS-XML technology already allows direct exchange of purchase orders and invoices between different business software applications, via e-mail and the Internet. More than 150 national and international business application software developers are implementing the BASDA eBIS-XML interface, which will enable their software to generate and read the XML messages. A number of those companies have already had their software tested to ensure compliance to the BASDA eBIS-XML standard and have launched eBIS-XML enabled products which, in turn, are creating a growing network of users who are automating their supply chains. |

XML/EDI Group |
Go To XML/EDI
Group XML and EDI Provide a standard framework to exchange different types of data -- for example, an invoice, healthcare claim, project status -- so that the information be it in a transaction, exchanged via an Application Program Interface (API), web automation, database portal, catalog, a workflow document or message can be searched, decoded, manipulated, and displayed consistently and correctly by first implementing EDI dictionaries and extending our vocabulary via on-line repositories to include our business language, rules and objects. Thus by combining XML and EDI we create a new powerful paradigm different from XML or EDI! |
